PEST CONTROL
Do you offer one-time treatments or recurring service plans?
Yes! We offer both.
-
One-time services for specific issues
-
Monthly or bi-monthly service plans for ongoing protection and long-term results
Most clients prefer recurring service because it prevents re-infestation and keeps pest and weeds from coming back stronger.
How do I know what service plan I need?
We can recommend a plan based on your property size, current issues, and how much prevention you want. If you’re dealing with recurring pests or weeds, a routine plan is usually the most cost-effective option.
Do you treat scorpions and termites?
Scorpions: Yes. Scorpion treatment is available and typically includes perimeter sprays, targeted treatment areas, and recommendations for prevention. Since scorpions often follow other insects, controlling the “food source” is a big part of scorpion control.
Termites: While we do not treat termites directly, we work with a trusted third-party termite specialist. Don’t worry, we handle all scheduling and coordination, and Ames Pro Pest will remain your main point of contact throughout the entire process.
Will I see pests after treatment?
Sometimes, yes, especially within the first 24–72 hours. That’s normal because pests may come out of hiding as the product begins working. You should see a major improvement shortly after.
Is your pest control safe for kids and pets?
Yes, our products are eco-friendly and applied carefully and according to label directions. Once the treated areas are dry, it is typically safe to re-enter. We always recommend keeping kids and pets away from treated areas until fully dry to ensure your loved ones are properly protected
Do I need to be home during the treatment?
Not always. Most exterior pest treatments can be completed without you home, as long as we have access to your yard, gated areas, and that pets are away from areas being treated.
WEED CONTROL
How long does it take weeds to die after spraying?
Most weeds begin to show signs of dying within 3–7 days, but tougher weeds may take up to 2 weeks. Some may require follow-up treatments depending on root depth and seasonal growth.
Will weed spray kill my grass?
We use products designed to target weeds while protecting healthy turf when applied correctly. However, results can vary depending on grass type, weather, and lawn condition.
We always aim for the safest and most effective approach for your yard.
Do you spray for weeds year-round?
Yes. Arizona weeds grow in cycles. Even in cooler months, weeds can thrive. Year-round weed control is the best way to prevent overgrowth and reduce the need for heavy treatments later.
How often should weed control be done?
We typically recommend weed control every 4–6 months for best long-term results, especially during peak growth seasons.
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes, we offer quick and easy quotes based on your property size and service needs. You can call, text, or submit a request online.
